Job Description

Continuously monitor live feeds from fixed, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom), and mobile/in-vehicle cameras across gates, roads, depots, workshop yards, and public zones throughout the shift.Operate the Video Management System (VMS) and camera controls—panning, tilting, zooming, and presets—to maintain coverage of priority areas and follow developing situations.Track fleet and bus movements through camera coverage and, where integrated, GPS/telematics dashboards to verify route adherence, gate entries/exits, and parking discipline.Maintain heightened vigilance over sensitive locations (cash-handling points, fuel and material stores, main gates, ANPR/LPR lanes).Detect security, safety, traffic, and operational events in real time—unauthorized access, accidents, congestion, suspicious behavior, fire/smoke, or equipment failure.Escalate per the defined alarm-and-notification matrix; alert security patrols, movement supervisors, fleet/maintenance teams, or emergency services without delay.Act as the communications hub during incidents—relaying clear, accurate information between the control room and field units until the event is resolved.Initiate response protocols (SOPs) for defined scenarios and track each incident through to closure.Maintain an accurate shift log of all observations, alarms, incidents, and actions taken, with date/time, location, and personnel involved.Retrieve, review, export, and securely archive recorded footage in response to authorized requests and investigations, preserving chain of custody.Prepare incident reports and end-of-shift handover notes; flag recurring issues and surveillance gaps to the supervisor.Perform start-of-shift and routine checks on cameras, recorders (NVR/DVR), monitors, storage, and network links; confirm recording integrity and adequate storage capacity.Log faults—offline cameras, poor image quality, storage or network failures—and raise work orders with IT/technical maintenance, then verify restoration.Apply basic first-line troubleshooting (reboots, reconnections, preset resets) within authorized limits before escalating.Operate strictly within company policy, privacy guidelines, and applicable surveillance regulations; restrict footage access to authorized personnel only.Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all recorded material and control-room information.Uphold control-room access control, housekeeping, and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards at all times.Maintain disciplined two-way radio / communication etiquette with patrols, gate staff, and movement teams.Deliver a structured handover at the end of each shift covering open incidents, faults, and pending follow-ups.Support drills, audits, and continuous-improvement initiatives for control-room operation.
