Gamma International College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic School Librarian to support the school’s academic mission by managing the library resources and promoting a culture of reading, research, and inquiry-based learning aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy.The School Librarian will be responsible for organizing and maintaining library services, supporting students and teachers with research and learning resources, and creating an engaging learning environment that encourages literacy and independent learning. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the daily operations of the school library efficiently and professionally.Organize, catalogue, and maintain books, digital resources, and instructional materials.Support students and teachers in accessing information and research resources.Promote reading habits and a love for literature among students.Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning and IB units of inquiry.Assist students in developing research, information literacy, and referencing skills.Maintain accurate library records, inventories, and borrowing systems.Recommend and acquire new books and educational resources aligned with curriculum needs.Organize library activities, reading programs, book fairs, and literacy events.Ensure the library environment is welcoming, safe, organized, and student-friendly.Support the integration of technology and digital learning resources within the library.Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development activities.
