You will be the "force multiplier" for our lead pipeline—acting as the bridge between high-level strategy and our Ruby on Rails codebase. This is a hands-on role where you will balance project oversight, roadmap planning, and active development. We have a Lead Architect in place, but as our data requirements grow, we need a leader who can manage the workflow and jump in to optimize queries, refine data mappers, or troubleshoot background jobs. What You’ll Be DoingDual-Track Execution: Spend roughly 60% of your time on project management (standups, documentation, ClickUp management) and 40% on hands-on Rails development and code reviews. Pipeline Orchestration: Own the roadmap for data ingestion. You’ll ensure new data sources (extracted via Playwright/Nokogiri) are mapped correctly and oversee the "plumbing" that turns raw data into high-value leads. System Reliability: Monitor GoodJob queues and PostgreSQL performance. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our background processing stays performant and database connections are managed efficiently. Data Integrity & Tools: Oversee normalization logic using tools like phonelib and manage document generation (PDFs via Prawn) for law firm clients. Process Optimization: Turn messy requirements into clean, actionable technical tasks in ClickUp to keep the engineering team moving.
