Job Description

A 150 bed hospital in Downtown Cairo is seeking a highly experienced Medical Director to lead all clinicaland medical affairs.The ideal candidate will be a senior physician with a strong background in hospital-based medical leadership, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary team management.As part of the executive leadership team, the Medical Director will play a key role in setting the clinical direction, overseeing quality and safety programs, and ensuring compliance with GAHAR and nationalhealthcare regulations. This role reports directly to the Hospital Director and the Executive Board of the managing company.Responsibilities include:Leading the hospital’s overall medical and clinical strategy to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.Supervising department heads and medical staff across all specialties and ensuring continuousprofessional development and performance evaluation.Collaborating with the Hospital Director and administrative leadership on operational planning, resourceallocation, and clinical service design.Overseeing the development and implementation of clinical policies, protocols, and patient safetyinitiatives.Ensuring full compliance with Egyptian Ministry of Health regulations, licensing, and GAHAR accreditationstandards.Leading the medical staff credentialing, privileging, and reappointment processes.Monitoring clinical indicators, patient outcomes, and risk management metrics, and leading initiatives forclinical quality improvement.Acting as a key liaison with medical staff, nursing leadership, allied health, and support services to ensurecoordination of care and optimal patient flow.Participating in committees related to quality, ethics, infection control, mortality reviews, and medical education.Representing the medical staff in board meetings, strategic planning discussions, and public or regulatoryengagements.
