Job Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and development projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine project scope and requirements.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and procurement teams to gather essential data for cost estimation.Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project standards.Develop and maintain cost databases, historical records, and estimation tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost control support throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and present cost estimation reports, summaries, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and bid evaluations.Stay updated on industry trends, market prices, and new technologies to ensure competitive and realistic cost assessments.
