• Monitor and protect the university's IT infrastructure, networks, and systems against cyber threats and unauthorized access• Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing• Manage access control systems and ensure proper user authentication protocols (Active Directory, SSO, MFA)• Respond to and investigate security incidents, breaches, and alerts in a timely manner• Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices across the university• Monitor CCTV and physical security systems integrated with the IT department• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and university security standards• Collaborate with IT team members to integrate security into all technology projects• Prepare security reports and present findings to IT management and senior leadership.
